Trusting God Even When You Don’t Understand

Ever been afraid to let go of something that’s in your hand believing that it’s the only thing that can make you happy? Don’t want to give it to God ’cause you’re afraid that you might end up with nothing?

What if God wants to give you more?

We live in a “to see is to believe” kind of society. We often ask, if God has something better for me, then where is it? Why can’t I see it?

We always want to receive.. but our hands are not available. We want to be filled, but we don’t empty ourselves. What do we do when God says “My child, can you let it go and give it to Me?”

I was moved by Joshua Harris’ prayer of faith. In one of his books, he said:

“Lord. I don’t understand, but I thank You, I don’t understand, but I know You are good. I don’t understand, but I know You’re taking this away because You have something better.”

TRUST and FAITH. These are the ingredients of a miracle.

How do we trust God even if we don’t see any progress in our circumstance? How do we maintain our faith when it seems that our prayers were not yet being answered? What do we do while waiting?

I want to share how God encouraged me through those trying times. These are revelations from Him.

1. Don’t settle for less than God’s best. There’s a lot in store for you..bigger and greater things.. more than what you can imagine. So don’t settle for things that make you happy just for the moment, when God can give you something that can last for a lifetime πŸ™‚

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3

2. Big blessings come disguised in many forms.. they are usually hidden treasures that we can never comprehend and are far beyond our senses. It is only by faith that we come to believe.. and by putting our trust in God, we see that greater destiny that He has prepared for all of us.

“However, as it is written: ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him’ ” 1 Corinthians 2:9

” Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Β  Β  Β  Β Β Proverbs 3:5-6

3. Put your trust in God at ALL TIMES. When He asked you to give up something, it is for your own benefit. He wants to take away everything that hinders you from receiving the things that you really deserve. He says that you are destined for greatness, you deserve that promotion, you deserve a better partner, you deserve a better life than what you are living right now, you have a greater calling/purpose..you deserve to be happy. But you will never realize that when you are holding on dearly to that very thing that makes you stagnant; when you are afraid to surrender it to God even when He tells you to.

God NEVER intended to harm you. He only wants the BEST for you.

” ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’declares the Lord , ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ ” Jeremiah 29:11

4. God tests before He bless because He wants to know if you are ready to handle the blessing πŸ™‚ He first shakes what needs to be shaken, so that what remains is your faith in the One who is unshakable. When God is pleased, He will give you what is rightfully yours. πŸ™‚
Read Hebrews 10:36 and 11:6 | Matthew 25:21

” You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” Hebrews 10:36

Β “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ ” Matthew 25:21

God is just waiting for you to claim your breakthrough from Him πŸ™‚ Isn’t it amazing? πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

May you stay strong in the Lord always.
